Certify your Sales Force: Labatt Breweries Case Study
Ellen Bear, Vice President, Learning Solutions, Perforus Group, Inc.

Three years ago, Labatt Breweries of Canada had a vision: to certify all members of their national sales force. Their goal was to build the best sales team in the industry, bar none. Today, Labatt's vision is becoming a reality. The Labatt Sales Certification Program was launched nationally in January and today, almost 40% of the sales force has been certified. In this session, you will discover, first-hand, how to plan and implement a certification program. We'll take an honest look at what worked and what didn't at Labatt. More specifically, you will learn how to:

Organizational Politics: Positive Strategies for Turbulent Times
Ronnie Kurchner-Hawkins, Kurchner-Hawkins Associates (Click here for brief bio in PDF format.)

Turbulent times can create cutthroat political situations for training and development professionals. You don't have to give in to the "dark side." Positive political action can provide us with long-term organizational support and opportunity. Two tools will be presented that support playing the political game positively, "The Mindset Shift Continuum" and "The Political Strategy Model." The "Mindset Shift Continuum" will guide participants as they evaluate their own reactions to their political landscape, whether mine fields or green fields. The Political Strategy Model(PSM) will help participants balance ethical considerations with business needs and client learning requirements when determining the best approach for responding to political situations.

Participants will leave this session with the knowledge and skills that will help them effectively and positively address the intensified political tensions that arise in these turbulent times.
