Mobile
Children
The
mobile kids are lots of fun and enjoy digging out all kinds
of toys from the storage bins. Here Marian (formerly
known as Dumi), Andrei and Abel go at it.
You'll note that "everything goes in the mouth". Oh well. Nothing
changes the world over.
Abel
the Explorer is having a good time in the Jumperoo. His eyes
are being corrected with surgery. He's a great kid and lots
of fun. Very inquisitive… but has a habit of hitting himself
in the head with toys. Maybe it's preparation for corporate
life!
Marian
(Dumi) just loved the crocheted ball and lots of other
toys. Former volunteers told me to give him special hugs. He's
a charmer and loves to be held. We all responded!
Mirella
started walking when we were there! Here she is beating her
own drum. She's a cutie and loves to eat yoghurt and cereal.
What's
not to love about this face! Sylvia has big eyes and
a big appetite! She's always first in line for food - and for
kisses.
Mihaela
loves to be turned upside down while you are standing or seated
in a chair. She just wouldn't let you stop once you started.
Here she is smiling after one of our upside-down sessions!
Marian
(left) and Julian (right) are twins who were in isolation
when we arrived. They had been on preventive medication for
TB and wound up with drug-induced hepatitis. You'd never know
a thing was wrong since they smiled all of the time. Hard not
to take them home. Bob and I would take them out of isolation
into the playroom at lunch time while the other kids were sleeping.
We couldn't resist spending extra time with them.
Julian
and Marian's family came to visit one day. We took photos and
will send them to the hospital so all can have a memory of when
the boys were small.
