David & Elizabeth's home in Congleton.

 

 

Elizabeth and I rebuilt and painted their bannister; one of several DIY projects we started while I was there. (We finished most of them, but generated a list of others.)

 

 

Burns Night (January 25th) celebrated with the traditional Scottish dish, Haggis. Eileen and Frank Ward, David's parents, joined us for the occasion.

 

 

In addition to the traditional version, Elizabeth served a vegetarian Haggis. Both were excellent.

 

 

My humble abode, David & Elizabeth's spare bedroom - complete with Ikea fold-out bed. (Very comfortable, I might add.)

 

 

Packing for the long trip back to Connecticut. Hazel helped.
