Trefriw to
Great Ormes Head

January 2005

Road repairs meant occasional stops for one-way traffic. Can you read Welsh?

Roads are narrow, curvey, and as like as not bordered by stone walls or precipitous drop-offs.

We stopped at the Woolen Mill in Trefriw. At certain times they offer weaving demonstrations. At all times, their gift shop is excellent.
Visit them online.

This is the view not more than 100 yards from the Woolen Mill.

This and the next photo were taken through the car window as we drove north on the B5106 towards Conwy.

Conwy Castle was constructed by the English King Edward I in the thirteenth century.

Our noble steed, David & Elizabeth's Renault Megane, perched atop Great Ormes Head.

The views into the Irish Sea were spectacular.

As usual, sheep were everywhere.

The road down from the top of Great Ormes Head leads to the town of Llandudno.
