Various Knights

Frank Knight: Probably a son of Benjamin Knight (b. Feb 9, 1809). If so, this Frank was b. 1841 and d. 1879 - based on a hand-written note of Abba Ella (Knight) Jones, my great grandmother. Alfred C. Knight gives his name as "Franklin."

Edward Knight: Presumably, this Edward was a son of Isaac Knight (b. Jul 17, 1817). I'm not sure if his mother was Isaac's first wife, Emily "Fanny" Pettis, or his second wife, Ann _____. (According to newspaper accounts, Isaac's second wife was "a Rollins of an old NH family" but Alfred C. Knight's book gives her name as Ann E. W. (Foss) Pike.) Isaac's son Edward was b. 1853 according to Alfred C. Knight.

Elizabeth Rollins Knight: Elizabeth was a child of Isaac Knight (b. Jul 17, 1817) and, I assume, his second wife, Ann ____ (see above confusion). She was b. Jan 8, 1855 and d. Apr 1, 1933.

Ruth Gertrude Knight: Gertrude was a daughter of my great great grandparents, Henry Knight and Sarah Marshall (Scribner) Knight, and sister to my great grandmother, Abba Ella Knight. Born Nov 15, 1859, Gertrude died of tuberculosis Feb 6, 1878, just 18 years old. I have a long series of letters from Gertrude and Sarah to Abba Ella. Gertrude describes her illness's progression. Sarah grieves intensely.
