Stone is everywhere used in building.

Our walk on the Macclesfield Canal - before our cruise later in the week.

The house below had this sign on it. Quite a sense of history compared to the USA.

A mill in Bollington now converted to apartments.

Most walks had a pub along the route.

The canal narrows down at each bridge - a cost-saving measure when the bridges were built.
