September 10th.Afternoon at the pond east of River Road. I've finally learned that this is called Norton Pond!
The only wildlife today was Painted Turtles (Crysemys picta).
Berries on Solomon's-seal (Polygonatum biflorum).
I think this is a Yellow Bear caterpillar (Spilosoma virginica). The adult is a Virginian Tiger Moth.
Pretty sure this is a Sycamore Tussock Moth caterpillar (Halysidota harrisii).
Atop Lyman Viaduct, Milkweed Aphids,also known as the Oleander aphid (Aphis nerii Boyer de Fonscolombe).
The first of several plants I only see at Lyman Viaduct where the surface is a mix of sandy soil and trap rock exposed with little or no shade. This plant is Nodding Spurge (Euphorbia nutans).

September 13th. Belted Kingfisher (Ceryle alcyon).

Pearl Crescent (Phyciodes tharos) on Goldenrod (Solidago sp.).
