November 23rd. A very frosty 19 degrees.

Very, very frosty.

Cedar Waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum) and Eastern Bluebirds (Sialia sialis).

Feeding on Winterberry (Ilex verticillata).

November 24th. The Cedar Waxwings were still around.

A male Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) and a male Purple Finch (Carpodacus purpureus). Lousy picture but they were far away.

A short walk east of Cook Hill Road. Cattle in the barnyard, not out in the fields. Very mucky.

The grown-over marsh a bit further east.

Nvember 25th. Nifty clouds.

Eastern Bluebirds (Sialia sialis) feeding on American Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum opulus) I think.

Not sure what bird that is at the upper left.

Remarably little frost for a very cold morning.

November 28th. Eastern Gray Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) rustling amongst the fallen oak leaves.

Success! An acorn.

Fresh ice near the exit stream. The marsh itself was ice free.

Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) and Mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) at the western end of Norton's Pond.

Mallards heading east...

...to join many more Mallards.

I wonder if this is the same pair I've seen grooming in this spot recently.

More Mallards passing by.

November 29th. A pair of Mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) at the west end of Raymond Brook Marsh. Nice ripple reflections.

Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) at the far side of Norton's Pond. More nifty reflections.

A pair of Mallards touched down.

Proud male.

November 30th. Fresh ice.
