A domestic goose at the little farmyard east of Cranberry Bog. I've never seen one like this before.

Next, I walked east from Depot Hill Road in Cobalt.

Little Wood-satyr (Magisto cymela) in pretty rough shape.

Drone Fly (Family Syrphidae, Eristalis tenax), a honey bee mimic on Ox-eye Daisy.

Leaf-footed Bug (Acanthocephala terminalis), also on Ox-eye Daisy. The white object on its head may be a Compsilura concinnata parasitic fly egg.

A Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle (Harmonia axyridis). A fast spreading import. I think it is eating a small katydid nymph.

Note the white typical clover style flowers towards the top of the inflorescence.

Sensitive Fern (Onoclea sensibilis).

Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) sticking up through a fern leaf.

Alsike Clover (Trifolium hybridum). It lacks the chevrons of Red Clover leaflets above.

June 14th. A great year so far for Highbush Blueberries (Vaccinium corymbosum).
