A male American Robin (Turdus migratorius)...

...singing.

Common Grackles (Quiscalus quiscula) gathering.

A couple of male Tree Swallows (Tachycineta bicolor).

More male Tree Swallows in a favored resting point.

The pair of Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) that favor this resting spot. Not remotely suitable for a nest.

Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura).

A male Bufflehead (Bucephala albeola).

(There were the usual two females too.)

A male Ring-necked Duck (Aythya collaris).

Three male Wood Ducks (Aix sponsa).

Two males and a female.

One of the males taking off.

A male Tree Swallow (Tachycineta bicolor) atop a Wood Duck house again.

A female passing by below.

She joined the male atop the house.

The female's back is mostly dark grey.

Some posturing by the male.

The female suggesting that the male back off?

Peaceful coexistence.

The female flew down to examine the nest box opening.

Another look.

April 8th. First Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) I've seen at the marsh this year.

A Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) flew by.

Then another one.

A total of four herons in this photo. One flying; three at the right and lower right.

Helicopter overhead. Not military.

A brief stop at the pond east of River Road. Red Maple (Acer rubrum) flowers in the trees.

A male Blue-winged Teal (Anas discors).

Ah, here's the female.

Back to the male...

...and the pair together.

Finally, a few pictures that weren't backlit.
