July 20th. White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus), doe with two fawns. (And a grooming Great Blue Heron in the foreground.)

 

 

 

 

 

"Teenaged" male Wood Duck (Aix sponsa).

 

 

Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura).

 

 

The Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) is done grooming and has begun "Yoga pose" sun worship.

 

 

A brief stop at the Route 207 crossing. Hedge Bindweed (Convolvulus sepium).

 

 

 

 

 

Long-legged Fly (Condylostylus sp.).

 

 

Nifty metallic green body.

 

 

Chicory (Cichorium intybus).

A male Common Pondhawk dragonfly (Erythemis simplicicollis).

 

 

July 21st. Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) on its grooming perch. Note the white fluff on beak and stump.

 

 

July 22nd. On what promises to be another very hot day, the Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) strikes its "Yoga pose".
