Best guess is Bur-marigold or Sticktight (Bidens sp., probably B. laevis),  A sunflower, not a marigold.  Growing in the muddiest section of the marsh.

One of many Funnel-web Spider webs made visible by the dew.

September 21st.  Fortyeight degrees and crystal clear.

Sumac (Rhus sp.) starting to turn.

September 22nd.  This morning at the Route 85 trailhead in Hebron I met Rick Hart, alias Road Warrior Cyclist, who is bicycling across the country to raise awareness and money for homeless veterans. Learn more about his project on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/RoadWarriorCyclist?fref=ts

Late afternoon at Cranberry Bog in East Hampton.  Lots of Asters, but most everything else has been mowed.
