Bleak. Some
snow on the ice of Raymond Brook Marsh.

Snow
on the beaver lodge, but despite the cold and ice, the beavers maintained
some open water. I often saw them patrolling their little patch of "blue"
when I walked by shortly after 7:00 A.M.

Did
I mention that January was bleak?????

Although
I walked occasionally in February and March, I took no pictures.
