January 27th.  Spectacular sunrise at 7:05 as I approached the trail.  Faded by the time I got to the marsh.

January 28th.  A brief stop at the Cranberry Bog barnyard after a trip to the transfer station.

January 29th.  Out early in hopes of a sunrise.  This is as close as it got.

February 1st.  Four inches of light snow yesterday and overnight.

Gray Squirel (Sciurus carolinensis).  One of three racing and chasing together.

Mouse tracks leading up to the hole near the center of this shot where the mouse dove under the snow and continued - puckering the snow above it.

More mouse tracks.  Note the distictive trail drag stripe in the middle of each hop.

February 15th.  Dense low fog.

Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapilla).

February 18th. First male Red-winged Blackbirds (Agelaius phoeniceus) of the year back at the marsh.  Right on time.  (I saw and heard two.)

February 19th.  Another (or the same?) male Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) in the same dead tree as yesterday.
